What To Expect

Day 1: Chogoria Roadhead

  • Morning: Depart from Naro Moru River Lodge after equipment preparation and guide briefing.
  • Afternoon: Drive through Nanyuki, Timau, and Meru to Chogoria Town. Continue to Chogoria Roadhead (3,200 meters) and camp overnight.

Day 2: Lake Ellis

  • Morning: Trek through giant heather and forest to Chogoria Roadhead.
  • Afternoon: Descend to Lake Ellis (3,650 meters) via a scenic path with streams and waterfalls.

Day 3: Mintos Hut

  • Morning: Trek through gorges and valleys to Lake Michaelson.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at Vivienne. Continue through Castle Rocks to Mintos Hut and camp overnight.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 4: Point Lenana

  • Morning: Hike up through Square Tarn to summit Point Lenana (4,985 meters).
  • Afternoon: Descend via Austrian Hut to Mackinders Camp for an overnight stay in Teleki Lodge cabins (4,150 meters).

Day 5: Naro Moru River Lodge

  • Morning: Descend via Naro Moru Route to Met Station.
  • Afternoon: Transfer back to Nairobi.
